About the service

GPZ owns and operates 5 manufacturing facilities including structural steel, aluminium, reinforcement, joinery and sheet metal/duct fabrication, as well as several supporting workshops including marble, gypsum, shuttering and scaffolding. Through this vertical integration we have the ability to undertake work normally expected to be the scope of specialist sub-contractors. Over the years, we have harnessed the most experienced and talented professionals and assembled core teams which have adopted a coordinated approach to value engineering and technological innovation. Each facility, equipped with the latest machinery and tools, has the resources and know how to provide a complete service, including design, supply, fabrication, erection and installation. Additionally, GPZ operates a thorough logistics division with up-to-date systems for inventory control, material, plant and resource distribution, as well as maintenance.

Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing

The MEP Division is staffed by senior and experienced engineers. Installation works are supervised by qualified project engineers and knowledgeable foremen with installation works carried out by a skilled workforce.

The commissioning of MEP services is undertaken in-house ensuring GPZs ability to maintain the highest standards possible. The dedicated commissioning teams are equipped with the latest commissioning equipment and instruments. The company ensures that these instruments are properly and regularly calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and good practice.

Joinery Facility

GPZ is able to undertake the manufacturing and installation of any type of domestic, commercial or industrial joinery work ranging from stand-alone furniture units to complex and integrated joinery structures. We have qualified and experienced teams for each operation of our manufacturing and installation process. The 4,500m² facility is equipped with the latest machinery, equipment, materials and finishing products. A hi-tech paint workshop accommodates separate spray and drying rooms which are maintained in a highly controlled environment to achieve precision finishes.

Structural Steel Facility

GPZ has the capability to undertake a wide variety of structural steel framed projects, ranging from multi- storey buildings to complex process engineering structures, and to produce in excess of 500 tonnes of fabricated structural steelwork per month. The facility occupies a covered area totalling 2,500m² with a further auxiliary area of 2,800m² available. A large lay-down area adjacent to the main workshops is serviced by a static tower crane and provides adequate storage for steel stock and finished fabrications.

Aluminium Facility

Our 1,800m² facility is equipped to fabricate most of the façade, curtain walling, window and door systems marketed in the Middle East region. We have the capacity to produce 240 tonnes/year of aluminium profiles, 28,000 m²/year of ACP panelling and 33,000 m²/year of curtain walling. GPZ is a licensed fabricator for the Technal (France) Aluminium Systems, one of the world’s leading manufacturers, and a market leading product in the Bahrain construction market.

Reinforcement Facility

Our Reinforcement division is able to undertake any type of conventional or specialized construction project and is equipped with the latest equipment, including computerised technology with automated machinery, for shearing, cutting and bending steel bars.

The 3,700m² facility, with additional lay-down and storage areas, has a capacity to produce 18,000 tonnes of cut and bent steel per year.

The facility includes automatic equipment to cut and bend rebar up to 16mm diameter from coil and has two production lines for reinforcing steel up to 32mm diameter. Straight bars can be handled up to 40mm.
