A high-end fit-out project for the client’s Headquarters at Al Baraka Group Towers, providing quality finishes to 7 floors plus areas of the podium, ground and mezzanine levels, covering a total area of 8,400m2. The Headquarters consists of offices, meeting rooms, a multipurpose area, a retail branch, training areas, a library and a cafeteria. The scope included MEP services to certain areas.
The retail branch at podium level is fitted out with Italian Basaltina stone cladding, a slim line stainless steel staircase with artificial marble treads and a frameless glass balustrade. The multipurpose area on the ground floor is a double-height space for presentations and video conferencing. Walls and doors have acoustic timber panelling installed and the ceiling is made of an integrated acoustic metal tile system which contains all MEP services.
Offices, meeting rooms, a library and training facilities on floors 1 to 6 feature aluminium frame modular partitions with extra clear glass which enclose bamboo planters. The core walls are clad in acoustic timber panelling, the ceiling is an integrated metal tile system which includes all MEP services, while the flooring is completed with a raised access system ending with a carpet finish. The Executive Level on the 7th floor has high polished Greek Thasos marble and walnut parquet flooring. Similar glass enclosed bamboo planters are also used on this level, while private spaces are created with partitions clad in Italian Basaltina stone or custom-made Walnut Book Matched wood panelling by GPZ’s Joinery Division.
GPZ’s specialised Joinery Division manufactured and installed high quality bespoke furniture throughout the building, including all fixed furniture for the retail branch, as well as reception counters, pantries, control room tables with a monitor display wall, mail room desks with cupboards, pigeon shelves, all fitted shelves etc., on the other levels.
The entire building is controlled by an office management system, where systems installed by GPZ are integrated, including air-conditioning, lighting, fire alarm and fire-fighting systems, electrically operated curtains, access control to offices, and turnstiles.
